To the surprise of absolutely nobody in the hockey world, Calgary Flames GM Craig Conroy has hired his long time friend Jarome Iginla as a ‘Special Advisor to the GM.’

Iginla will continue to work as a coach this year in Kelowna and perform his Advisory duties on a part time basis.
