The API crackdown makes a ton more sense now; someone wanted exclusivity
Let me know when the user class-action starts.
What could they sue over?
There was a toggle switch that removed your data to be included in studies/experiments.
If you disabled that feature and your data is still included, you can probably get an easy win.
aaaaah I didn’t remember that.
If you want to inflict the most possible damage however, try this:
-
Get a VPN
-
Pick any European country
-
Google: Frahms Freundlicher Folterfragebogen
-
Google Translate
-
…
-
Assumptions and Suspicions verified.
Doesn’t delete you data though, just takes your username off it. Before the api crackdown there was a tool that let you scrub your account.
I put together a script to semi-automatically deleted my post and comments, THEN deleted my account. That was enjoyable.
I’m so glad I nuked the posts in my account before they made it impossible for Power Delete and tools like it to run.
