Yes, despite the decades old commonly used expression they actually used Flavor Aid at Jonestown not Kool-Aid. You’re all very smart and original.

“Funny, it doesn’t look gold. Looks pink.”

      “It’s gold. Gold freedom lemonaiddrink.”

“After I pay it turns gold?”

“Yes, and no. It turns gold. On the inside.”

He did too, basically. He had his “congregation” hand over their income/property/possessions to the “church” so that they could travel and evangelize, and eventually go off grid. His followers paid for the whole thing.

He also wouldn’t drink it himself. (Jim Jones killed himself too, right? Correct me if I’m wrong.)

That’s correct, Jim Jones was found with a bullet in his head. The coroner in Guyana concluded it was a suicide, although one of Jim Jones’ sons (all three were not at Jonestown at the time of the mass poisoning) has speculated that his father may have ordered one of his lackeys to shoot him in one final act of cowardice.

Imagine believing literally any of the official narrative about Jim Jones/Peoples Temple. You people will waste entire threads talking about how the US undermines South American socialism right up until you imply that they did the same thing to the largest socialist movement in modern US history. The US Govt. killed over 900 citizens in Guyana to protect the bottom line of the 1%.
