    This is too real.

I even have some family coming over this weekend. I’m excited because they’ve never really come to visit me. But I can’t bring myself to clean my apartment and I have been struggling for the past week with this. Just thinking about it makes me want to take a nap. At least it’s not that bad looking in here but still. I managed to clean one toilet bowl the other day and that was all I could bring myself to do.

Pay someone to do it. It’s well worth the price. You don’t have to be remotely wealthy to do it.

I actually did do that one time! It was a bit pricey but gave me some peace of mind. Sadly it’s a bit too late in the week now otherwise that would have been a good idea lol!

I have a very hard time doing my own cleaning, especially once I’ve let it get bad. Some kind of mental block I guess. Although I don’t have much disposable income, I’ve found that having someone come in on a regular basis really helps me mentally. I can work at my own job for a couple extra hours to pay for it. Between the paid cleanings I can usually keep up at least for a few weeks.

Have fun with your family this weekend!

Listen I found something that actually works… it’s called meth.

My doctor keeps telling me I should call it adderall but I can’t find the difference

      I can’t find the difference

It’s an N-methyl group (one extra carbon attached to the nitrogen).

Love, your friendly neighborhood chemistry prof

Just to add some actual useful knowledge, amphetamines are a subset of psychoactive compounds called “phenethylamines,” the effects of nearly all of which get more potent when you add a methyl group onto the nitrogen (often times as much as 10x more powerful, IIRC).
