Released in 1986, When the wind blows is a film adaptation of the picture novel of the same name, following the couple Hilda and Jim Bloggs. Presented in a multi-media format, when the winds blows follows the couple as they carry out their every day activities during the mits of nuclear threat, until the bombs finally fall. From their, the film turns to how the couple react and attempt to survive in a post-nuclear UK farmland. It is a truly sad story that both shows old world values and thoughts and the true potential of nuclear fallout on civilians.

It really is sad, but damn is it a good movie that manages to warp a children friendly appearance to be upsetting.
