Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp says he will send more of his state's National Guard soldiers to aid Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s effort to control illegal crossings on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Governor Brian Kemp announced Tuesday that he will send 15-20 members of the Georgia National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border, in support of Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star and “securing the border.”

He joins a growing number of Republican governors who are enthusiastically wasting taxpayer dollars to join Abbott’s illegal stunt. This is all happening in the midst of the standoff between Texas and the federal government, where despite the recent Supreme Court ruling, Texas officers under Abbott are still not letting the federal agents access the border. Because God forbid the feds remove the death traps installed in the Rio Grande.
