I’m always amazed/worried when people’s skulls are so thick that “obvious” caricatures become ideals. “Deep cover librul”

These days obvious characters of Republicans are running for, and winning the state and federal elections. Except they’re not caricatures they are honestly that crazy

        crazy evil.

They know what they’re doing. It’s a ridiculously effective strategy to manipulate voters on both sides of the aisle. The bigots and neonazis eat that shit up; and the rest of us have a tendency to not take them seriously, so instead of holding them accountable, we just give them the village idiot pass every single time.

We really need to start treating them in accordance with the damage they’re doing, not how they present themselves at the podium.

When advertising dollars back a candidate who supports it, people will see the crazy as evil. Until then, plausible deniability will help ensure evil looks like crazy.
