This is more grim than inspiring. Children shouldn’t be making weapons of war.

For one, just… No, they should be playing. Necessity is necessity but if your can tell them no, tell them no

For two. All that which builds weapons is a valid target of the enemy. Do not make kids a valid target.

I’m really torn. I’m honestly feeling like a dumbass centrist not knowing fully how to feel here. On the one hand I agree, kids deserve a chance to be kids and grow up happy. On the other hand, reality is not always nice and war is a part of that reality that they will have to learn some day, and it’s absolutely everyone’s duty as human beings to try and bring an end to war and defend the defenseless from tyrants. If she helps save children in another part of the world from dying a horrible death or having to see the horrors of war then that’s amazing and valuable, without her having to get involved enough to see the horror herself. Of course anyone on either side can use this same justification for their own actions. I’m just confused here. It’s all ugly.

At first I thought “Yes”. Everyone helps defending the country. But thinking about I have to agree with you 100%. Children must be shielded from war and given a normal childhood as far as possible. Don’t lie to them when they ask why they have to run for shelter, or where their father is, but don’t involve them in hating and killing other people, no matter how justified it may be.
