Transcript: A small penguin approaches an Antarctic research team, says “Excuse me!”, moves closer and continues “Do you have a moment to talk about Linux?”
I always have time for Linux.
I up voted immediately just because of the presents of the transcript it really helps the visually impaired.
arctic research team
Antarctic. Penguins are found almost exclusively south of the equator.
Ah thanks, I knew that but I wasn’t thinking when I wrote. Edited. :)
“HEY!”
“I PACMAN -RCNS YOUR MUMS $CLIT!”
I don’t understand why this is so true. I just got into Linux a few months ago and I have to constantly stop myself from talking everyone and anyone’s ear off about it. why am I this way? why are so many other Linux users the same?
Unlearning Windows habits, solving the inherent difficulties of existing in a Windows-centric ecosystem, going against the path of least resistance, is a challenge. Overcoming it is an achievement that you should be proud of.
We’re just elated to be free of Microsoft’s bullshit. Don’t worry, you should mellow out in a couple years. Then again, there is a possibility you’ll go the opposite way and eat stuff from your foot. https://youtu.be/I25UeVXrEHQ
That is so much me 14 yo! I kinda grew out of this or learned that most people won’t care much… Or I’m just a boomer now and barely care about anything.
I’m 34 and switched ten years ago. I used to gush about it but the honeymoon is over and I know that it’s not perfect, now I only mention it casually when it’s relevant. Most people don’t care and that’s fine, but sometimes people are actually interested, I’ve converted a few and helped some migrate. There is a risk you’ll bump into a closed-minded Windows fan who will mock and berate you though.
