Have you ever wondered why some people never became sick from COVID-19? A study published recently in the journal Nature shows that common genetic variation among people is responsible for mediating SARS-CoV-2 asymptomatic infection. I have no idea how I haven’t gotten covid. For the first year or so I was getting brain swabs and blood tests weekly for work. Never positive. And since then if I was infected, I would have to be 100% asymptomatic. Other than hangovers, I’ve felt pretty good since the pandemic started.

I didn’t get swabbed that regularly but did enough times. I haven’t gotten it -to my knowledge- but have been out and about living my life somewhat normally. I’ve gotten my shots, so all I can think is I am either extremely lucky or was asymptomatic
