    Mods should just reopen but refuse to moderate. Disable automod as well.

      This is the way. Just remember what happened to /r/worldpolitics, the mods basically didn’t want to moderate anymore and it became a shit show of spammers.

      I was going to say they should all turn into porn subs, but I think your way is easier and would likely have the same outcome anyway.

        I hope all the porn subs i follow move over here to lemmy. Porn was really the only good reason to spend any time on both Twitter and Reddit

            Already familiar with it. I literally just finished messaging a bunch of subreddits (via ‘message the mods’) on reddit with the following message:

            Hi. In regards to the kerfuffle of Reddit administration not caring about its users, I hope you will join us & consider moving your subreddit to Lemmy, specifically to https://lemmynsfw.com/

            Hopefully they join us and “set up shop” over here. Got a (disappointing) response from /r/cumonbraces with “No thanks!” so I guess that one is free for someone else to create if they would like :P
