Because defeating Hamas is not an achievable goal. At best, they just create another group that wants to resist them as long as Israeli oppression of Palestinians continues. Hamas, whether or not you agree with them or the actions they’ve taken, believe themselves to be resisting Israel oppression. Why would you ignore this? Because you don’t think Israel is oppressing Palestinians? No, you just think the oppression is justified as long as Hamas exists. But if its not Hamas, there will be another group. Hamas is not present in the West Bank, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping Israel.
Don’t forget that President Herzog has said “It is an entire nation out there that is responsible. It’s not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved.” So what does that mean for “defeating Hamas”? How many Gazans does Israel get to kill in pursuit of this goal? Is there a limit for you?

How about the Dems run a candidate who isn’t dog shit? I vote for Dems as a form of harm reduction, but they aren’t reducing harm anymore. So what’s in it for me? Dems haven’t not done anything about the supreme court, student loans, or threats to democracy and they are largely supporting the actions of Israel. If I’m right, and this is a genocide (I am), then voting for anyone who supports it would be an evil act. They’re going to have to make some changes if they want to earn the votes of people who don’t want to see a genocide carried out on our watch with our bombs.
That said, it would be a real problem if Trump won. So if that happens, I hope you’ll be willing to place the blame where it belongs: with the Democrats. They are the ones doing nothing to earn our votes. Biden isn’t even campaigning.

Well, all Gazans which I’m sure is what you meant by Palestinian since the West Bank is governed by the Palestinian Authority, are currently being bombed by the Israeli government. So you might be waiting a little bit. Especially seeing as Hamas hasn’t allowed elections in 15 years.
