Certain missing police tapes are a good example. Why can they keep the school tapes from the people? Surely the suspect is dead.

Anwar al-Awlaki. Most things that I’m seeing about him are that he is the first US citizen targeted by a drone strike but I remember it being a big deal that he was the first US citizen assassinated at all.

And as much as I liked President Obama, he did set the precedent by targeting and killing a (bad) US citizen.

They have intelligence agencies that crush the vocal ones. I protested and was assaulted after I was arrested. It changed my life. The government granted the agent who assaulted me immunity. You can Google the case and read the details. “Gilson v. Alvarez IV”.

The FBI presented modified evidence in order to try to put me in federal jail because I protested over a thought crime of doing hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage because I was holding something over 3 lb. I luckily remembered something from almost a year prior which was on the tape that they excluded.

The system is not good for the people who are trying to fix the system. I was a federal employee and disabled veteran. I’m just trying to make America better. They’ll kill me for it.

Me. Be American. Serve my country in uniform for 8 years until I get blown up on my second deployment. Never return home so I can serve the federal government in DC and progress career. Serve as a government civilian for another 12 years.

Medically retire because I can’t drive to work anymore and most of my day is spent in the bathroom for one reason or another.

Move back home because that is where my support network is because I have almost daily medical appointments. Can never work again because of medical issues.

Rent on a two-bedroom apartment takes three quarters of my disability pay. A cell phone, internet, and electricity take the rest.

Food puts me slightly in debt. So do girl scout fees and karate classes for my daughter but I will provide no matter what.

Medical expenses that the government is supposed to pay often comes out of my pocket because the Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible for my care and they are efficiently killing veterans.

People call me a leech on society and make me reprove my income almost monthly for any social programs. I am constantly stressed so I’m starting to look the part.

Eventually the debt will catch up to me and I will be on the street with a “disabled veteran please help” sign.

The US department of Veterans Affairs will still claim that there are no homeless veterans.

Good paying = can afford necessities like food and a house and family expenses and childcare and healthcare.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I was arrested when I was protesting in El Paso. They just brought trays of slop to us in our cells three times a day. It looked close to an '80s elementary school lunch but slightly lower quality. It really wasn’t reasonable. I was found not guilty because Americans are supposed to be able to protest. The FBI felt otherwise when they cut off part of the tape proving my innocence but got caught doing so without consequence.

These are the people who attacked America on 9/11. They agreed to help Bush in his war so we didn’t attack them.

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would say that the US worked with them closely before 9/11 and then enacted pre-written legislation immediately after the attack that our intelligence agencies knew was coming. Everybody in the middle was doing their job but our senior representatives never acted on the intelligence that was available. So now Saudi gets special treatment.

He is doing 57 months because he is serving for multiple crimes simultaneously.

Police who violate the law should not be allowed anything but the maximum sentence non-concurrent with other crimes.

But cops protect those who have power and those who have power. Don’t want to piss off the cops so here we are.

You and I just may have different opinions about how the government works at the senior levels.

I hear you. I was in the army when 9/11 happened so I didn’t have a choice but to be involved in the response. I was ready to show how I had trained against the Saudis who attacked us so when all of the units plans changed to Iraq, my opinion about 9/11 and all of the ongoing US propaganda for it kind of changed.

Now it’s over 20 years later and after having deployed three times I have lost more of my friends to poverty and health related suicide (thank you, department of veterans affairs) I would say that the poor suffered more in 2008 then we did as a nation from that attack. America needs us to remember that small attack so that we can maintain endless wars in countries which are proxy, fights and training grounds for our soldiers. We shouldn’t be killing people. We should be focused on making sure the billionaires aren’t crashing the economy in cycles in order to profit from our endless labor.

9/11 should be remembered for the horrific act that it was, but the cult following that it turned into is wrong. How many people died in terrorist attacks in American history and how many people have had their liberties deprived by police, especially if they are the wrong color? Worse things are happening every day. We need to be distracted though.

The laws that the EPA has to follow and the people controlling it are who I am referring to. Politicians are taking money to prevent lifelong EPA employees from saving our lives.

Or paid their bosses (congress) a surprisingly small amount of money (bribes (“lobbying”)).
