Feels pretty real to my bank account.
No. Obviously? And it’s irrelevant. There’s no symmetry here.
If Hamas puts down their guns there would be peace.
If Israel puts down there guns there would be no Israel.
Probably not, because those would be THEIR hospitals. There would be no tunnel system, no munitions stores, etc etc.
Your “gotcha” thought experiment is asking whether or not a country should treat the enemy country with equal caution to their own. Did you even consider it before asking it?
LMAO, wait, your argument is that Hamas doesn’t use human shields, and it’s all Israeli propaganda?
Hamas has been openly, proudly discussing their use of the Palestinian civilians a human shields for… Basically forever.
This isn’t unique to Hamas, it’s a common trait of all jihadist groups. Innocent victims are rewarded for their faith in heaven, and evil victims are punished in hell. So I’m their warped mind there’s no moral consequence for murdering or endangering civilians. Please let that sink in before you continue to support them.
First of all, you’re either ignorant or an idiot if you think what Israel is doing is “indiscriminate”.
More importantly, what’s your superior moral alternative when a force breaches borders, murders hundreds, and takes and holds hundreds more as hostages, and then retreats to the cover of hospitals and schools in a dense city?
America.
2x4 studs are 3.5" deep. Even interior walls have drywall on both sides, usually over a half inch, but even half inch drywall, tape, mud, and paint, gets us to 4.5-5" thick.
That gives you a 2 inch “buffer”.
Is your body thicker than 2"?
There’s just no way it works.
2 and 7 feels OP compared to any other combo by a mile. Definitely getting nerfed in the next patch.
Unfortunately most walls are thicker than 7" when accounting for decorations, furniture, trim, etc. Not to mention adding your own thickness.
It’s technically our second place and it’s bigger, newer, but needs a bit of updating.
It’s not everything we wanted and between closing costs, moving costs, the exhaustion of moving and adjusting to the move I don’t think we’re going to do it again before we’re priced out of the thing we want.
We were hedging against either a bigger market correction or a bigger price explosion. Instead we just got weird global stress and fatigue.
Arguing from empathy with no regard for facts is hopeless.
Arguing from facts with no regard for empathy is dangerous.
We need both.
Right, it’s just a front door lol. I never considered that was a thing.
Pyramid scheme, not profit scheme.
Pyramid because the shape is a pyramid.
The first person, the one who sent out the original picture, received X books and sent none.
The next layer sent one book, and possibly received up to 36.
But those 36 each need 36 new people. It’s impossible. You’d hit the population of the earth in just a few rounds.
The companies BUILD IN backdoors so that they can steal your data.
But because the backdoor is built in, they have to constantly monitor and update the security around it so that “bad guys” (they don’t think they are the bad guys) don’t get in.
They only do security updates to prevent liability iirc.
The whole thing stinks.
Note: I’m not a software developer just an outraged bystander with tech hobbies and techy friends, it’s possible this isn’t true.
But if you tell the customer how much things cost they won’t buy as much.
It’s just layer upon layer of dishonesty. The only time businesses get honest is when the government forces them to.
Capitalism isn’t a system of morality. Or at least it isn’t supposed to be.
The fact that people think more money = moral is one of the largest problems in the world right now.
And the volume is cranked too high.
And they are intentionally annoying.
And the last time I had a video on without my adblocker, an ad came on that was literally a person acting like they were a content creator. It was over 3 minutes long. I was only half paying attention (I was driving and just listening to the video) and when I realized it was wrong I thought I had bumped the phone and changed videos. It was so disorienting.
All the ads are lies or propaganda. I hate them. I actively avoid products that find a way to force their ads in front of my face.
It’s not a subtle ad. Google has sold the top slots of your search to companies in exchange for money.
When your search for “Excel”, Google doesn’t try to find you the most relevant result. They find you the highest paying ad, and then what you’re searching for.
Don’t be evil.
Nothing is nonstick like Teflon … But the VAST majority of cooking doesn’t require that level of nonstick, either.
Unless you have a French omelette addiction, you probably don’t need Teflon.
