Howdy. I have a “homeserver” that I’d like to actually start using. What’s currently keeping me from it are… Permissions.
I have TrueNas Scale running on top of Proxmox, and I can’t for the life of me not access NFS Shares from other VMs (specifically a Debian VM that I use as Docker Host) that I host in Proxmox. Plox hlp.
I switched to Aegis
Eh, that’s what they called it in the article and I’m neither a physicist nor a material scientist. They made a definite distinction between the two forms of the materials in this and other articles related to the topic which I was too topic-uninformed to understand. So you might be right :D
Nah, undocumented overtime is a thing in germany, too, for example. Most jobs, especially in smaller businesses have what’s called “Vertrauensarbeitszeit”(trust based timekeeping). You don’t punch in anywhere, you just show up at the job, and are expected to manage your own time. Studies found that this leads to people working approx. 41-42h/week instead of the contractually agreed-upon 40h/week, with the difference not being paid, since it is undocumented. The EU/ECJ declared this to be a problem and now all businesses have to implement some form of electronic timekeeping.
Afaik they just discovered that Ice has a layer of water ("pre-melted ice) at the surface, which is the lubricant that makes ice slippery. So, imo ice is wet ^^
Nur leider mit erhöhten Chancen, dass so Dinge wie Überwachungsmaßnahmen die den Datenschutz aushebeln durchgewunken werden :/
I really loved Bari. It’s bustling but not overcrowded, by the sea and imo quite beautiful!
Yeah, that thing with the SMRs/ Gen II reactors turns out to be not so much a thing: https://ieefa.org/articles/small-modular-reactors-are-still-too-expensive-too-slow-and-too-risky
Wo spendenlink?
Und auch Batterien sind nicht 100% effizient…
5 samples is still anecdotal. There is no statistical significance there.
Du meinst Fasnet?
I really want to give you an updoot, but… could you please cite sources?
As for android games, if you’re into tower defense, give infinitode a try :)
If you’re asking where stuff /could/ come from, why couldn’t we just build renewables. For Germany at least, the ship has sailed anyways. It is not currently legislatively and practically possible to build out the required energy infrastructure with nuclear to phase out gas in a timeframe that makes sense. With the beaureaucracy and everything, it’ll be at least a decade before even the first power plant would be connected to the grid.
Germany was better prepared. The plan was to use natural gas. Which was cheaply supplied by Russia. Who woulda thunk that relying on mining operations in despotic countries could be such a bad decision? Goes for Gas as well as Uranium…
That’s not the case everywhere. This is not an individual problem in some countries, it is systemic. That sometimes includes the US. Even Europe has countries with undrinkable tap water.
