There’s got to be some psychological hack to this for some people, and I envy them. Imagine getting satisfaction from having gone to the gym just to walk… Gym is already a lazy form of workout even if you exert yourself.
Then again, the only people I see walking on treadmills are fairly in-shape young women, so it’s hardly an issue

They did speak weird though! Analysis of their airways suggest that they had a much higher-pitched voice than our kind, and probably had a harder time with consonants. So their language would have certainly been different. Although we have no way of knowing if parts of their language still lives on in our speech today.

True, but the staff-cannon-things don’t seem like a great alternative, given that they’re usually fired from breast-hip height and seem to lack optics. And even if they did have optics, you’d think gliders and especially Al’kesh would already have engaged you.
Staff weapons against gliders, sure, but that just touches more on the cinema-cool element, where advanced aerospace-fighters are taken down by weapons that shouldn’t hold a candle to that sort of platform. Another example is Shepard shooting down a wraith dart with an M249 (which he was carrying for whatever reason).
Stingers and AT-4’s I can understand, but I feel like more realistically they’d be on the far edge of what could defend against gliders and darts.

Hehe. Never heard of that one. I want to know how aware these people are when they name things. In sports, a bit of humor is probably common, but with the neanderthals, I just don’t see the high-strung scientists of the late 1800’s intentionally making a joke on this kind of thing. I do however see them doubling down on a decision even if it’s pointed out that it’s stupid.

Jag sätter all min tillit till EU i att andra länders representanter i parlamentet avslår det här förslaget. Vad annat kan man göra, när det är vår egen EU-kommissionär som föreslagit det, vår egen regering som är för det, och vår riksdag är för det, och till och med de i riksdagen som säger att de är mot det, röstar för?
Jag är för EU mest för att Sverige är helt jävla galet.
