It’s difficult isn’t it. Itch.io was my other choice but again it’s an American company. It’s kind of surprising that an alternative storefront hasn’t really started to rise out of SEA + Japan and Korea considering how popular gaming is there.

Other than GOG is there even any other storefronts that don’t give you a steam key that aren’t American?
I don’t know. By asking Australians to make up their own mind about what they purchase over trying to bring tariffs in retaliation hopefully it will draw less ire from the the US.
Plus most staple goods are primarily Aussie made and manufactured (bread, milk etc.). So asking to think about Aussie produced products it won’t massively increase the cost of living (hopefully).
It’s a shame that major cities seem content with supplanting medium density housing with high density housing skipping it entirely.
EDIT: So apparently the NSW government has actually released a new policy specifically to help foster the creation of terrace and mid-rise developments near major transport hubs which is amazing.
Will be good to see development of new mid-rise developments particularly near stations which are surrounded by single family homes.
Yeah, I use to volunteer a few hours each week back before I picked up more roles at work. It really does feel fulfilling when you know you’re giving back to the community. Would be great if there were provisions to allow more people to volunteer (outside of disaster response which already allows you to take a leave of absence for combat agencies in certain scenarios).
