This is neat, but I’m still waiting for pkpass support. It’s so annoying apple has a standard format for passes and google doesn’t and also doesn’t bother to support them even though their more widely used.

I know this is a hypothetical but Hitler wasn’t some one man force. The nazi party was a very large organisation and without Hitler it could still have come into power in the climate that Hitler catapulted himself to fame on. Killing one man rarely makes such a big difference. The holocaust for example wasn’t even Hitler idea, although he was looking for something like it. My point is don’t assume the future and take things into your own hands because you’re trying to tip the scales before a suspected disaster, I don’t wanna find out who the savvy maverick that can exploit outrage over trumps death to move even more people to support them and without trumps bafooneries and obvious croniesm actually make a much more horrifying impact.
Buddy not funny. Extra judicially executing your political opponents is the kinda thing trump would pull and we can’t endorse or even approve of it. The state of America today keeps reminding me of the fall of the roman Republic and a fascist dying ain’t gonna fix the problem, it’ll just let someone more cunningly capable of such things into the seat trumps trying to fill and then sh*ts gonna turn fast. What we needs is wide reaching, institutional reform. I just don’t know whose gonna push for it.
Obligatory that’s also what Hitler bloody did. I do not want to see either of these men in power.
I don’t think any democracy where the will of the majority can be overruled is sustainable.
To me it just looks like their stalling. Like an early 90s PC that made that screeching noise whenever it connects to your modem. They know Biden old, it’s too late to prep a replacement, let’s waste time repeating that so there’s even less time to find a replacement. This feels almost like a republican move of placating and dragging things out because a decision was made as a party and they don’t really wanna backtrack on it but they know not even appearing to acknowledge it would make the party even less popular. I don’t really know what to say here, I’m all for just nominating AOC and telling everyone above 50 or unwilling to let a women or someone who isn’t a dinosaur run for the presidency to f*ck right off. The reason we need parties and can’t have representives who are actually popular with the populace is because our political institutions are built on a lack of proportional representation and no one in a position to actually wants to change that.
I don’t think vote to obscurity can apply here. Trump will always have a platform because he is a living engagement machine and that drives the Internet mad. He wins he’s the top story, he loses he’s the top story, he gets convicted he’s the top story. The man is immortal in the worst way possible and the world is basically f*cked.
I’m still amazed judges are so clearly divided into groups. I consider being a judge to require a degree of impartiality and authority that anyone clearly identifying as democratic or republican should be disqualified for. Democratic perhaps not since their more centric than left leaning or far left :/. Point being the one occupation that mandates impartiality is highly politicised. Of course everything is f*cked. The rule of law is not dictated by the majority or enforced by the trustworthy.
We shot it with a lightning bolt and then some weird sh*t started happening. /s.
She’s not senile and Biden is basically winning on a platform of not trump so I can only imagine she’ll do better. The people don’t like Biden, they dislike trump. No one currently in the running is anyone’s first choice and pretending otherwise is just madness, so someone who has the advantage of not being fascist and not being senile only sounds like an improvement.
I feel like mandating a certain number of years in some managerial governmental position would be more effective. Trump is basically a living example of how to get around that. Honestly a lot of democracy kinda assumes people elect competent and honest leaders and a lot of humanity are just brainwashed morons so we’re stuck with what we got :/.
Honestly, too much content not enough time. That and I think a lot of what’s available now isn’t as good as it used to be (I realise that’s probably nostalgia more than anything else). I read manga a lot more now. I find it easier to do, and it generally gets to the point a lot quicker than anime. There’s also a lot more great manga than there is great anime simply because it’s cheaper to make and distribute and less prone to padding things out to reach a predefined length. Vagabond for example would be the best anime ever… if any studio could adapt it. I watch more western live action stuff, it’s cookie cutter at times but easier to consume while focusing on other things (since it’s English, Japanese anime I need to actively focus on subs (I wont dignify dubbed with a mention XD)). I used to watch j-dramas but dropped that now as well as I find it hard to find stuff that interests me. I’ve watched a couple k-dramas just cause I find them a refreshing change of pace.
I will say now I’m an adult its really hard to find the time to just stop and watch things. I legit miss burning through all my afternoons watching naruto and the chunin exam or the pain arc. That sh*t defined my childhood and I’ll always love it, even if I’m not liable to do it again soon.
It’s funny how so many democracies seem to be repeating the same tale on a loop. I’ve been reading a lot about the fall of the roman Republic and the parallels are disturbing. A corrupt oligarchical senate/governmental-body and a political leader with influence and military might to take over the government who flouts the law to their own self interest. Of course ceaser was actually competent and trump is well… Trump. It’s just astonishing how our political institutions keep failing us and how the masses keep letting them due to pure exasperation. I have no idea how this sh*t keeps happening. And worst part is I don’t think there’s anything we can do to turn back. The will of the majority is actively undermined and too many are openly brainwashed to be reasoned with.
Huh, maybe. Although my point was more batman is part of that class (albeit begrudgingly) so expecting batman in a position of great power and influence to actively take that from other people is just very hypocritical. Not that he shouldn’t (or someone shouldn’t). Just a very weird position.
You’re aware he is a CEO of a company?
What the he is your point here if you think it’s impossible. Both candidates suck, someone else should run, no one can be prepped to run in time, so… do nothing. That’s your master plan. Responding to you is a collective waste of time for everyone myself included.
I look forward to the new independent party candidate you prop up to win in 4 years. Good luck buddy.
Attempt a coup? Did we not live through the same January 6th. He already bloody did. And we still haven’t locked him up for it.
It’s a surprisingly useless skill in the modern day if you have a digital watch. Most people just use their phone or a smart watch and those show time with plain digits so there’s no interpretation. I forgot how to read an analogue clock face for the longest time, bought a classic watch recently and have picked up the skill again but if I didn’t then I’d never use it and I’d forget it again. Despite what some people think not all skills are unforgettable, it’s just a matter of how useful it is day to day over a long period.
