Hate to say it, but Wintergatan and his Marblemachine X. In the earlier days his videos were an exciting mix of mad genius, cool music improv and crafting. Then he became obsessed with making the machine play tight, precise music to a level that is beyond what anybody in an audience would be able to hear, and it became obvious that the machine would never get finished because he was stuck in an improvement loop.

I think that’s taking it a bit too far. There’s no denying that Lewis cruised to some of his titles because the car was leagues ahead of the rest, but he still has extremely competitive races even in a car that’s drifting between second and fourth best. And I’m saying that as not the biggest Lewis fan out there.

I’m in the same boat, and sore loser is a pretty fitting description imo. They gambled with the zero sidepods car, lost big time (though it should be said that other teams on the grid would have loved to switch cars with them), doubled down on it this season and lost again. This should have been a humbling experience, but instead they act like they are being owed P1.

Seeing Aston in the first half and McLaren in the second half of the season show them how it’s done was super satisfying. And I don’t hold much love for Ferrari, but I 100 percent want them to take P2 from Merc.

I think Checo has done just enough to secure second place in the standing. Assuming P1 is blocked by Max for the remaining two races, that’s only 38 possible points for Lewis. He’s 32 behind currently. Checo just has to not pull another Mexico and score 7 points in two races. And that’s not even accounting for other drivers like Lando that are likely to steal points from Lewis.

My issue with one lap qualifying with the fastest going last would be that during a quali like we’ve had this weekend, if you go last, you’re screwed because suddenly the track is wet or you even get a red flag. Imo it’s much more entertaining when everyone tries to poker with when they do their laps.
