I understand Valve works or used to work very differently, people collaborating without a strong top-down steering from management. Yet whatever explanation they have, we were punched in the gut at the end of Ep2, then left waiting, holding our breath. Latest polls show his party head-to-head with Fidesz, so the government is panicking, trying to attack him on all fronts, but he seems to be taking it well, and continues to gain popularity. He recently had a reddit AMA in r/hungary, which became top post of all time - he seems to be loved by the young crowd.

He is different from other opposition leaders, as he positions himself as a christian center-right politician (instead of left/liberal), while being against the Russia-friendliness and corruption of Fidesz/Orban. Overall it’s good to have him, anything is better than Orban. Peter Magyar’s also not perfect, he was part of some corrupt deals (which he openly admitted) and seems a bit arrogant and enjoy the spotlight, but if this is what it takes to get rid of Orban, I’m all for it. The country is in bad shape economically, he’s not going to solve that in a few years, but at least we could get going in the right direction - keep an eye out for Hungarian elections in 2026.

I agree that he did already evil things, but I think there is a difference between killing members of an alien race for revenge, and slaying human children from your own community.

And I’m no way excusing him, I just think there could have been more nuance to the topic, there are steps of evilness they could have explored to make this more believable.

It’s also very interesting how some people are divided over this scene, e.g. a friend of mine had the exact same explanation as you mentioned, while another friend also found it a bit too much. I guess it’s just subjective, based on your own perception and understanding of “evil”.

They are extremely overpriced, but deliver good quality - I am using my first iPhone for more than 4 years now, I never had and Android last nearly that long.
