The Dems and their constituents are not ok with this power for the president.
I just made a comment as a contrast to the Republicans who stacked the courts to get this decision so they could abuse it.
The only people who are ok with this are the Republicans.

Toastify is apparently something used in the lemmy software to do notifications.
“Toastify is awesome” appears to be the default text. Some other errors that are clear have the same text and colorful square formatting.
So when you see that it is like seeing an error message for “something went wrong” but silly instead.

Bread box if eaten soon, freezer if it won’t be eaten until after the beat by date. Some freeeze better for non-toasted than others. Honey wheat freezes better than white bread in my experience.
I haven’t ever refrigerated bread to know how that goes since it thaws from freezing pretty fast.

The heritage foundation has been working on this long before the angry orange was a viable candidate. He is just the current face because he is belligerent enough to follow through on what they want to do and does a bang up job of riling up the conservative base.
If he was out of the picture they would be doing the same things with someone else who wouldn’t be nearly as effective, but they would still be going down the same road.

Also, I would recommend blocking users moreso than communities. Once you start looking for it, you realize that like 90% of these posts are made by just a few people/bots.
I wish there was an easy way to block everyone from an instance, like *@shittylemmyinstance.poop or something. Yeah, I do have one instance blocked to avoid the content, but the posters seem fine, but there are a few where blocking users one at a time is like whack-a-mole.
Even if every employee was equally competent, decision making needs to be consolidated enough that it can be decisive and shared throughout large companies. Complex systems that need to change rapidly gain no benefit from having too many people wanting to make decisions, you only need most of them to be competent enough to complete the work based on the decisions of a small group or the work will end up getting too convoluted and unmaintainable.
There really isn’t a benefit to have everyone understand all of the parts of a large and complex system, if they only have time to work on a portion or to facilitate decisions that take into account the knowledge of the people in the different parts.
Trying to appease fascists by avoiding confrontation or acting when they start chipping away at our insitutions willl just lead to more fascism. The nazis didn’t spring forth overnight, they consolidated their power through legal means and appealed to the population’s bigotry and hatred of ‘others’ without enough of a response to stop their ascension.
Basically the same thing that is happening in the west right now.
The Dems could also get rid of the filibuster right now. Getting rid of it completely only requires a majority and Republicans already proved they will drop it the moment it isn’t useful to them to obstruct Dems like they did with judicial nominations.
