The trailer for the movie for those interested.
My pleasure.
In the original interview, she makes it clear that there several incidents and that the AI images she got were the last straw which convinced her to delete Twitter.
Yeah, if anyone needed a clear sign where exTwitter’s journey was going, that was it. It’s the nazi bar now and people should not hang out there anymore.
Yeah, it’s way overdue to delete Twitter, but I also know far too many people who cling to it, providing one specious justification or another. I really don’t know what still needs to happen in order for left-ish/progressive/queer/… people to finally get off of Twitter.
Additionally to what has already been mentioned: People are susceptible to politics that confirm their prejudices. Right-wing political thought is largely based on confirming that whatever prejudices people hold, they are morally good and justified. Thus elevating an in-group above out-groups. That is a powerful lure.
Incompatibilities between hardware and software caused data corruption. This resulted in hangups and increasingly frequent crashes. It was necessary to download a new gender, which is currently being installed.
It’s Krafton, Tencent owns a minority stake of that one.
“Free speech” has always been a right-wing dog whistle. It has nothing to do with anyone’s legal right, it’s a means to claim victimhood and justify attacking others as “defense”.
Sure, but the damage is done. A major US newspaper giving credence to the lies is a win for the people spreading hate, whether there is a retraction or not. It’s not about facts after all.
By now we probably need a concept like “grief in late stage capitalism” or some such thing: The constant mourning for lost achievements/(art) works/creative teams/… because of capitalist greed.
I am not entirely sure either. I vaguely remember that there was some stuff about certain bosses from the DLC requiring specific character builds, making other character builds non-viable. At least I think that’s meant here, I can’t keep track of the “outrage of the week” either…
I totally agree with you, yet for someone from South Korea and the political climate over there, her statements are pretty bold.
Hello, friend! Have some 🥜 🌰
“Nothing Is More Powerful Than an Idea Whose Time Has Come”
Hell yeah! ✊
No, I just learned about this and did not check the date.
“Hey, Mister Security Guard, I am from IT and just gonna upgrade that hardware over there. Do I have permission? Of course, I have permission! Here’s some paper with an unreadable signature. Look, here it says that I have to remove all those very expensive graphics cards and dispose of them. So don’t mind me!”
Can’t come soon enough IMO. Not necessarily because I want Reddit to suffer, but because I want Lemmy to thrive.
