I don’t like seeing miltary spending increase, but the social/economic funding is just because there was a spike for the pandemic, right? I wouldn’t call it a fare comparison.

Focus on what you have and make it work for you. Reduce expenses. Get a roommate. Sell stuff. Most importantly, make a budget.
This has changed quite a lot. Starting pay at regional airlines varies, but it is close to $100,000/year now.
This all happened right after the pandemic. Airlines did a lot of early retirements because nobody knew how long the industry would be in the dumps. As it turns out, there was a ton of pent up travel demand, so not only did airlines have to attract people to replace the retired pilots, but also for growth.
You’re right, though. It used to be closer to $20,000/year back in 2005, and only went up slightly over the 15 year period leading up to the pandemic.
That makes sense.
$7,000k? Is that $7,000 or $7,000,000? 7,000 thousand?
I’ve watched one YouTube video of a talk he did and thought he was an odd duck with a lot of good ideas.
What stuck with me the most was “use free software, and be ready for it to lack convenience”.
I’m sorry if struggling (if that’s the right word) with that right now, because I’m interested in switching to OsmAnd instead of Google maps for navigation, but there’s no traffic or road closure info. There’s also no Android Auto option, as far as I’m aware.
My local roaster is Quartertone Coffee. I’m wearing their tee-shirt right now.
I also like Dunkin when I make it at home. I find their stores to be inconsistent, though. Sometimes they brew it properly and it’s delicious, and sometimes it’s weak and doesn’t taste very good.
What’s that?
I installed FreshRSS after seeing it mentioned a lot 'round these parts. I typically consume the articles through an android app called Read You which is good at loading entire articles.
Oh nice, I was seeing the marbling.
Nice bike, you ever take it off any sweet jumps?
It looks like the grip paint might be wearing off in the picture, has that proven to be a problem spot?
For real! The black tires just ruin it for me.
“Ruined” is such a strong word, so as the reader it just struck a wrong chord with me. Maybe your point could have been communicated differently.
“Great bike, I bet it would look even better with black tires”. Something like that wouldn’t have triggered me, haha.
I haven’t seen your bright pink bike, but that sounds awesome.
Sure you can, just like I can leave a comment that insinuates how much of a dick I think you are as a result of said comment.
You didn’t really “express an opinion” as much as you said their bike is “ruined” because of a minor detail that they had no choice in.
I’m sure you’re a reasonable person, I just read the comment and was disappointed in it. Maybe it could have been worded better. We’ve all been there.
Oh weird. Thanks, I’ll keep an eye out.
The difference is enormous, but so is the price tag. The first few rides were pretty shaky on the new bike because it’s so much different, but now that I’m starting to get used to it I’m able to climb hills and go through some slightly technical sections while feeling mostly in-control.
Quite a few times I’ve ridden over things that would have stopped my old bike in its tracks, and this new bike doesn’t miss a beat.
As far as bikes like this go, this one is pretty mid. The components that it comes with are good and fine, but not the best. They get a lot more expensive than this, but like anything else there’s a point of diminishing returns and I feel like I got my money’s worth with this one.
Good thing they put it in the correct gear for the photo, otherwise you’d be complaining about the chain not being parallel.
I recently switched to Dockge and it suites my needs. I like some aspects of Dockge better, but I like the network and image management features of portainer.
Oh cool, this looks like something I’d really like. I’ve been using a paid Android app called Simply Auto which is excellent, but self hosting is more fun.
Is it aero?
