I hope we get another Progressive Era out of this. Otherwise I’m gonna go cry in a corner and maybe kms
(why the fuck is this world so cruel? 😭)
Sad reality: as long as the stock market moves, they can make lots of money. Up or down? Doesn’t matter. Just gotta know Dear Leader’s next genius move a little bit ahead of the rest of the market
I dunno, Musk looked really damn sad the other day talking about Tesla.

Although, I’m not sure how he’s going to swing it in the opposite direction when no one trusts he isn’t going to flip-flop just days later.
That unpredictability is what’s causing the stocks to tumble. People make money as stock prices fall by short selling. Basically borrowing stocks and selling them. If the price falls, the investor makes a profit.
This is a banger
🫡 Comrade Trump 🫡
I believe, like Michael Lewis, that the stock market is nearly 100% price controlled via HFT algorithms and AI, leveraging the dark pools run by the wealthiest banks and hedge funds. If this is correct, then the market will never outright crash again. Therefore, no one, from this point forward, should take have any notion that the stock market will punish Trump (or anybody, really).
Ultimately, the stock market will fluctuate for dramatic effect, but will continue on a steady upward trend completely decoupled from any particular reality.
Oh would you look at that, it’s up 353 points today. 🧐
It’s also the fact that it gets a constant flow of new capital via retirement accounts. That keeps enormous upward price pressure on things. The total value of all retirement assets in the US alone exceeds 40 trillion dollars.
Steve Bannon did once describe Lenin as one of his heroes
Because of the anti-capitalism, right Comrade Bannon?
Right?
Lenin was not shy about having people taken out back and shot. He just died before he had the chance to do it on the scale that Stalin later achieved.
Fun random Lenin fact: Russia never had a tradition of preserving and mummifying the corpses of their Tsars and religious leaders. Lenin (d. 1924) was “mummified” (in a truly amateurish fashion) because of the worldwide popularity of Tutankhamun, whose tomb had been discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.
Another fun random Lenin fact: Vladimir Putin’s grandfather was Lenin’s chef.
